In Spring 2019, PATCHWERK hosted its third youth outreach project titled The Women in My Family. The thematic message in the collection of art and stories convey and honor the generational presence of womanhood in families. A class of 8 talented elementary school students from New York City participated in 10 film and design sessions to learn how to shoot anecdotal interviews, design graphic tees, and paint symbolic patches. The student artists hosted a community art auction and showcase to celebrate the female voices captured in their final pieces. The little artists raised over 1,000 TTD, which helped finance the 2019 Summer Youth Outreach Program in Trinidad and Tobago titled The Imprint Project.
